Silverdale is the oldest member of the Holgates Family Group, where we have called home since 1956. Situated in the Arnside & Silverdale National Landscape amid over 100 acres of mature woodland and countryside, our flagship park overlooks the sweeping vista of Morecambe Bay and Arnside Knott. Welcoming holidaymakers from far and wide, whether you’re looking for a fully serviced pitch for your own touring caravan, motorhome or tent, planning a break in one of our holiday homes to hire, quirky glamping pods, or are in the market to own your very own holiday home, we’ve got just the spot for you.
We are certainly proud of our flagship park and it’s magnificent location, with the surrounding areas holding some of the most magnificent views, events and activities for you to soak up and enjoy. Set on the fringes of Silverdale, a picturesque rural village, our Silverdale park is a charming year-round holiday destination with 5* facilities to use at your leisure. You’ll be spoilt for choice when browsing and shopping, with the centre of Silverdale village only a short walk away from the park and the quaint seaside village of Arnside just under two miles away. Further afield you will find the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and Forest of Bowland, ideal for jam-packed days exploring!

Our Silverdale park is thriving with things to see and do, whenever you decide to visit in our 12-month holiday season. Throughout the year our indoor leisure facilities provide fun for the whole family, featuring a sensational swimming and leisure complex, gym and bowling lanes! Outdoors you can enjoy strolling, cycling and picnicking in our beautiful parkland.
Award-Winning Park
Our flagship Silverdale park has been our home since 1956, winning many accolades and awards for landscaping, forestry displays and grounds maintenance. To mention just a few, we have successfully held the David Bellamy Gold Conservation Award for a number of years, alongside being awarded the AA Platinum Pennant recognising the highest quality parks with a 5-star rating.
Dog Friendly
There’s an extensive variety of dog walking routes, where your dog can stretch their legs, as well as a designated dog walking field on park! Just wander from the park to easily walk your dog on one of the many stunning woodland or coastal walks and farm trails accessible directly from the public footpaths.
For Children
Silverdale also has plenty of children’s activities for both wet and dry days. Hit the water with indoor swimming complex and separate toddler pool. Also, be sure not to miss our weekly splash sessions to let off steam!

Food & Drink
Our bar, cafe and restaurant at Silverdale Holiday Park is open every day for holiday home owners and anyone who visits the park, serving a wide variety of homemade food.
After an exhilarating day, why not share a freshly prepared family meal in our superb on-site restaurant. Relax over a drink of your choice in the bar serving a variety of hot drinks, gins, beer & cocktails, or simply sit back and enjoy a superb view of Morecambe Bay from the outside terrace. Dining together has always played a huge part of holiday park family life and we’re determined to keep good quality home cooked food at the heart of our service.
Why not indulge in a sweet treat, you are on holiday after all! Our on-park ice cream parlour is stocked with ice cream from local dairy Walling’s of Cockerham with a wide variety of flavours to choose from. Just choose your favourite flavour and enjoy!

Dogs are not allowed inside our leisure complex but you are more than welcome to enjoy a drink or bite to eat on the terrace at the front which has stunning sea views!
No holiday feels complete without your four-legged friend and we want you to create holiday memories with your fury friend too. We certainly don’t want to spoil the fun but ask that for the safety and enjoyment of other guests on park there are a few rules dog owners follow such as: keeping dogs on a lead around the main areas of the park and picking up after your dog.
For Children
Silverdale also has plenty of children’s activities for both wet and dry days. Hit the water with indoor swimming complex and separate toddler pool. Also, be sure not to miss our weekly splash sessions to let off steam!
Our bowling alley and arcade provides fun for all the family? Our 6-lane Highway 66 tenpin bowling alley has proven to be a big hit with a variety of games to choose from! Up to 6 people can play on each lane, providing fun for all the family!
Our indoor soft play area provides a great space for the younger ones to burn off some energy and our two outdoor children’s playground will entertain children of all ages. There are plenty of spacious areas across the park for ball games so you can guarantee children will have hours of fun!
A well-kept, eight-hole Pitch & Putt green is available use during the summer months. Call into reception to hire our clubs and golf balls. Our Pitch & Putt is open seasonally so be sure to check if it is open before arrival!
Swimming Complex
Visit for the day and make use of our sensational indoor heated swimming pool complex, featuring: two indoor swimming pools, a spa pool, sauna and steam room! Our pool complex is light and bright, with views across our Silverdale park entrance towards Morecambe Bay. We also always have lifeguards on duty to ensure everyone’s safety.

Gym

Our Silverdale park is the perfect base for countless holidays exploring our surrounding areas, there is something for everyone with miles of coastline and countryside to discover, the World of Beatrix Potter, Wray Castle, Brewery Arts Centre, Kendal and Hill Top, Near Sawrey.
The quaint and friendly village of Silverdale is just a short 20-minute walk from the park. Silverdale Park’s surrounding area has interesting local shops offering fresh and locally-sourced produce, perfect for a leisurely lunch or picking up snacks for a day out.
Local food
Classic pubs, local delis, restaurants and even an organic farm – the local area has plenty on offer!
Tranquil garden centres, sculpture trails, landmark hills and family days out are just a stone’s throw away.
The Cove is a small stone beach just a 5-minute walk from the main entrance of Silverdale Park. This beach is perfect for quiet strolls and access to the wider coastline.
