Bay View is one of the charming coastal parks which is part of the Holgates Family Group. Situated directly on the Morecambe Bay coastline with sweeping views across the bay and out to Grange-over-Sands and plenty of surrounding countryside, towns and villages to explore. Welcoming holidaymakers from far and wide, whether you’re looking for a fully serviced pitch for your own touring caravan, motorhome or tent, planning a break in one of our holiday homes to hire, quirky glamping pods, or are in the market to own your very own holiday home, we’ve got just the spot for you.
We are certainly proud of our Bay View park and its magnificent location, previously used as two working farms, the surrounding areas provide some of the most magnificent coastal views, events and activities for you to soak up and enjoy. Set just below the Lancashire/Cumbria border on the outskirts of Carnforth, a picturesque market town with great transport links, our Bay View park is a welcoming year-round holiday destination. You’ll be spoilt for choice when browsing and shopping, with a selection of restaurants, shops and supermarkets nearby in Carnforth, Bolton-le-Sands and the historic city of Lancaster. Further afield you will find the Lake District, Kendal and Forest of Bowland, ideal for days of endless exploring!

Plenty to Do
Our Bay View park has plenty to see and do, whenever you decide to visit in our 12-month holiday season. Throughout the year our on-site bar & restaurant is the perfect hub to enjoy with family and friends, whilst our games room and outdoor play area provide the perfect place for children to let off some steam. Outdoors you can enjoy strolling, cycling and picnicking in our beautiful parkland with direct access onto the Morecambe Bay coastal footpath, equally beautiful in the cooler months as you watch mesmerizing sunsets looking across to Grange-over-Sands.
Award-Winning Park
Originally used as two separate working farms, the natural heritage of our Bay View park is easily visible through the careful conservation of previous farm buildings now transformed into our bar, restaurant and other park buildings. Recognising landscaping, planting and grounds maintenance, our Bay View park has successfully held the David Bellamy Gold Conservation Award for a number of years. Bay View is also a previous winner of Lancashire Holiday Park of the Year, winning two years in a row!

Bar & Restaurant
Our bar and restaurant at Bay View Park is open most of the year for holiday home owners and anyone who visits the park, serving a wide variety of homemade food.
After a day of exploring, why not enjoy a freshly prepared meal in our superb on-site restaurant, set within a lovingly converted farm building. Relax over a drink of your choice in the bar serving a variety of hot drinks, gins & beers, or simply sit back and enjoy the relaxing coastal atmosphere on our outside terrace. Dining together has always played a huge part of holiday park family life and we’re determined to keep good quality home cooked food at the heart of our service.
Our menu changes seasonally and we have new innovative specials most weekends to tantalise the taste buds. All freshly prepared and cooked to order so you can count on us to deliver high quality food at reasonable prices.
Dog Friendly
Brand new! We have a brand-new dog exercise field, a designated area of the bay view park that is fully enclosed for your four legged friend to enjoy.
There’s also an extensive variety of dog walking routes, where your dog can stretch their legs, as well as a designated dog walking path on park! Just wander from the park to easily walk your dog along the canal towpath, stopping by canal-side pubs and restaurants, or embark on a coastal adventure on the bay.
Dogs are allowed in our designated dog-friendly restaurant area ‘The Bark Inn’ whilst you can also sit with your four-legged friend out on the terrace and take in the sea air!
Most of the beaches around our Bay View park allow dogs on them throughout the year. Enjoy some of the very best dog walking on the nearby beautiful beaches and coastline around Morecambe, Silverdale and Arnside.
For Children
Bay View park has plenty to keep the children occupied. Our outdoor adventure playground is perfect for letting off some steam, whilst plenty of open spaces are great for ball games! The parks natural slopes and dips are great if you bring bikes and scooters along, just don’t forget to bring a helmet and watch the speed bumps!
Direct access onto the salt marshes on the Morecambe Bay coastline are perfect for families who seek outdoor adventure, whilst the footpath running along the bay is great for bike rides towards Bolton-le-Sands.
Our onsite shop also stocks a large range of sweets, treats, toys and more! Parents can also take a break from cooking as the restaurant and bar serves a great range of Children’s meals and light bite portions.
On Site Shop
Our on-site Shop is well stocked with a good selection of popular everyday essentials from bread, milk, locally farmed bacon, sausage and eggs to a range of sweets, confectionery, and newspapers by pre-order. We have a good range of products making it easier for you to pick up those forgotten essentials. Our shop is linked with our reception desk by the entrance of the park, so you are always welcome to pop in and see us when passing or checking in!

Discover the area & things to do at Bay View
Enjoy breathtaking views of Morecambe Bay from our Bay View, with miles of coastline and nearby countryside to explore. Located just below the Silverdale and Arnside AONB and the Lake District, there are endless ways to enjoy the natural surrounds.
The Gait Barrows National Nature Reserve lies at the heart of Silverdale and Arnside. Less than 10 minutes by car from the park, this nature reserve is one of the country’s most important limestone landscapes and is home to rare plants and wildlife.
From the historic city of Lancaster, Lakes Aquarium, Lakeside, Wray Castle, Low Wray,Wyresdale Park, Scorton & Bay View Garden Centre, Bolton-le-Sands there are plenty of places to visit.
Bay View Park is ideally situated less than an hour away from The Lake District. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to amazing waterways, rolling hills, villages, and towns.
The Bay View coastal footpath situated on the way to Bolton-le-Sands is accessible from our Bay View park. Other beaches and walks to visit are Warton Crag, Arnside Knott, Jenny Brown’s Point & RSPB Leighton Moss.
