Surrounding Bay View

The Gait Barrows National Nature Reserve lies at the heart of Silverdale and Arnside AONB.  Throwbarrow Quarry is hugely popular with climbers offering exciting and challenging climbing routes and if you travel north out of Silver Ridge park, you’ll find a magnificent walk with panoramic views called Farleton Knott.

From the historic city of Lancaster with its imposing castle and vibrant cultural scene to the fascinating Lakes Aquarium at Lakeside, there’s no shortage of destinations within easy reach. Other beaches and walks worth exploring include Warton Crag, the stunning views from Arnside Knott, the historic industrial landscape of Jenny Brown’s Point, and the wetland habitat at RSPB Leighton Moss, where you can spot rare birds and wildlife throughout the year.
