We love making your time in our parks as special as possible. And we loved hearing what makes it so amazing in our special owner interview. So, we decided to do another with a review from a Netherbeck owner!
This time we took to our Netherbeck park and asked home owner Sue Van Eijkern just what attracted her to Holgates.

What aspects of the Netherbeck Park helped you to decide that this was the place for you?
We chose Netherbeck because of the friendliness of Kim & Eddie and liked how the site was homely, comfortable and quaint. In the end it was between here and Far Arnside but the welcome we received from the site wardens really made our decision for us.
Why did you decide to buy a holiday home and become a Netherbeck owner?
Our daughter lives in Arnside and we wanted our own base that would be closer than the 240 mile drive up from South Wales to see her and our young grandson. We looked around all of the Holgates sites, some that were closer to where our daughter now lives but this was the park for us.
Does it feel like you’re on holiday when you come to your home on Netherbeck ?
No, it feels like our second home. It is so nice having our own base here, especially when carrying out busy grandparent duties and spending quality time with family. My daughter used to live around the Carnforth area so we know it fairly well.
What are your favourite things about being owners on this beautifully kept park?
The friendliness of the park wardens, Kim and Eddie. The support of the staff is very important; if I ever have a problem I know they are there to help sort it out. I always feel totally safe, secure and supported when on my own at Netherbeck.
It is also beautifully set out and extremely tranquil.
What have been the highlights so far of owning your own holiday home?
Having the freedom to spend more time, and build a loving relationship, with our grandson. We have also made some great friends on park, as well as constantly marvelling at the scenery around us.
What are your favourite pastimes while in the area?
Visiting Kirkby Lonsdale and Lakeland plastics in Windermere. At Netherbeck you are literally a stone’s throw away from one of the most beautiful parts of the United Kingdom; you are surrounded by rolling hills and beautiful views of the Lake District.
We also like that you can be here whenever you want, the park is open twelve months a year so you can come in busy or quiet periods which means you see all of what the surrounding area has to offer.
