When the first guests arrived at Holgates over seventy years ago, they came for the same reasons our owners do today; peace, community and the breathtaking Cumbrian landscape.

Decades later, that single coastal destination has grown into a cherished collection of award-winning parks across the North West. While the holiday homes have upgraded over the decades, our core values of immaculate service and family tradition haven’t changed a bit.

Owning a Holiday Lodge in Cumbria FAQs

Owning a holiday lodge in Cumbria provides the perfect base for exploring all that the region has to offer. With stunning scenery, vibrant culture and plenty of activities, there’s something for everyone.

What’s more, when you own a holiday lodge, you can enjoy unlimited access throughout the year, meaning your holiday home is available whenever you want it.

The cost of a holiday lodge in Cumbria depends on a range of factors, including the size, location and age of the lodge. Typically, prices can range from £80,000 (for a second-hand holiday lodge) to upwards of £350,000 for a top-of-the-range sea view lodge.

Our flagship Silverdale park acts as the leisure hub for the region. Owners at Silverdale and Far Arnside receive complimentary access to the indoor pool sauna and steam room. Owners at the Cove also enjoy these facilities, alongside a complimentary gym membership.

Owners at our other parks enjoy a discounted membership rate for the Silverdale facilities. While these remaining parks are dedicated to quiet privacy, each features its own dedicated onsite amenities including a secure playground dog-walking areas and direct access to local nature trails.

While you cannot live permanently in your holiday home, you can stay in your holiday home for extended periods of time for holiday purposes only allowing you to relax and enjoy the beauty of Cumbria at will. Here at Holgates, our caravans and holiday homes aren’t licensed for living in throughout the year and you will need to provide proof of your full-time residence elsewhere.

Unfortunately not. Here at Holgates, we do not allow sub-letting at any of our parks. With that in mind, you can still invite friends and family to share your space, just make sure you inform our team, and that thy can sign in when arriving at your chosen park.
