Visitors can explore the beautiful Ribble Valley countryside around Clitheroe on a long-distance walking trail. The trail passes through 12 valley villages: Whalley, Mitton, Clitheroe (outskirts), Waddington, West Bradford, Grindleton, Chatburn, Sawley plus Downham, Worston, Pendleton, and Wiswell before returning beneath Pendle Hill.
