There are countless walks and days out to enjoy from Marsh House, including Lakeland Wildlife Oasis, RSPB Leighton Moss and Levens Hall. Enjoy food and drink at Squirrels Bar & Restaurant (Bay View), The Canal Turn (Carnforth) and The New Inn, Yealand.
Our breathtaking location on the Morecambe Bay coastline makes for endless days exploring. We’re also just on the doorstep of the Silverdale and Arnside Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, filled with nature reserves, woodland and even more coastal charm! You could also easily reach the Lake District within an hour of the park.
Spend the day at Bay View and our flagship Silverdale Holiday Park
Just a short journey from Marsh House you will find our sensational heated swimming pool complex at Silverdale, featuring indoor swimming pools and a spa pool. At our Silverdale park you can also enjoy a host of other facilities such as a gym, bar and restaurant, bowling alley plus indoor and outdoor play areas.
A little closer to Marsh House, our Bay View park just a little further down the coastline offers a variety of facilities including: bar, restaurant (including dog-friendly area), outdoor children’s play area, games room and shop area (link with reception).

Just on our doorstep you can enjoy walks at Warton Sands gazing out onto Morecambe Bay. Looking for more of a challenge? Warton Crag is a fantastic walk which rewards you with elevated views across the bay.
If your pooch prefers a more relaxed pace, why not visit our dog friendly bar and restaurant ‘The Bark Inn’ at Bay View just down the coastline? At Bay View you’ll also find an enclosed exercise field as well as the coastal footpath that leads you along Morecambe Bay towards Bolton-le-Sands and Hest Bank.
Choosing to stay at Marsh House as a seasonal tourer doesn’t mean you wave goodbye to home comforts. Your caravan combined with our fully serviced pitches and toilet block make for the perfect place to stay!
During your stay you will see our Park Wardens working hard to maintain the cleanliness and 5* standard across our park.
We have a launderette on site with washing machines, tumble driers, an iron and board.
Wi-Fi coverage is available throughout the park free of charge, some areas having a stronger signal strength than others to access emails, social media etc.
Marsh House is the newest addition to the Holgates Family Group. Recently refurbished, Marsh House is situated on the Morecambe Bay coastline, within walking distance of the picturesque market town of Carnforth.
Marsh House is a scenic 15 minute walk away from Carnforth, a traditional market town that is a popular spot for walkers and cyclists. Home to many independent shops and stalls, you’ll be sure to find something unique to take back home with you. Be sure to check out the town’s award-winning railway station and its heritage centre, which offers exhibitions and regular events. Don’t forget to take a photo of the infamous clock that appeared in the 1945 film Brief Encounter!
Take a walk up the coast and you’ll come across an area of outstanding beauty in Silverdale & Arnside. During your walk you’ll come across a number of sandy beaches and ancient ruins to explore. Silverdale town itself offers an interesting collection of shops and restaurants to discover as well as exciting activities and cosy pubs to wind down after your walk.
“The Gateway to The Lakes” has loads to offer. Just a quick 17 mile drive away, Kendal is a great market town that has everything you need before venturing further into the Lake District. You’ll find museums, art galleries, historical buildings and a picturesque outdoor market place open every Wednesday and Saturday.
One of the biggest benefits of staying at Marsh House and the surrounding areas is the proximity of the world renowned Lake District. England’s largest National Park and also a UNECO World Heritage site, the Lake District attracts millions of visitors every year to explore the beautiful natural scenery and take in spectacular views.
The Lake District is well known for its amazing walks and trails across a wide range of hills and mountains. It is also home to Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England, measuring at 3209ft, giving experienced hikers a challenging climb. For those looking for a more relaxed walk, there are plenty more to choose from, each with their own gorgeous views and interesting wildlife to enjoy along the way.
Shore Road is the coastal road from the park that allows you to meander past the estuary into Carnforth. You can hop off the road over the bridge towards Warton.
Access a number of different trails by embarking on a journey to Silverdale Cove, an inviting stone beach, perfect for a gentle stroll at twilight.
If you’re a budding photographer, consider a walk to Jenny Brown’s Point which offers fantastic panoramic views of Morecambe Bay. It’s also an excellent starting point for a coastline walk.
