Our pods include a small heater and come with a sofa bed, so you just need to bring your blankets and pillows to enjoy a comfortable and cosy night’s sleep! It also means you can enjoy them any time of the year – come rain or shine!
Camping in a tent can be exciting (we love traditional camping too!) but actually getting the tent up can be a nightmare – especially when the wind is particularly strong. With a pod, it’s already set up when you arrive! You can drop off your stuff and go out and explore everything the Lake District has to offer!
Now don’t get us wrong, we don’t want to actually put these two in competition with each other. We love caravans! In fact, we actually offer luxury caravan holiday home hire in three of our holiday parks.

The difference between a camping pod and caravan truly depends on the type of holiday that you’re looking for. Our caravan homes come equipped with everything you could ever need on holiday; oven, microwave, TV, bedding, toilets, showers and fires.
Whilst this is brilliant for some, it’s not right for those who are looking for more of a traditional “camping” holiday.
Our pods are basically for those who want to have the full experience of camping but without having to stay in a tent. They’re brilliant for those who normally love the experience of camping but are looking for something different for a change!
