Dog-Friendly UK Holiday Parks & Accommodation
Two dogs are allowed in each of our static caravans at Silver Ridge, Bay View and Silverdale holiday parks, as well as in our holiday cottages at an extra charge of £45 per booking. However, all of Holgates’ holiday parks allow dogs on site.
Guests staying at one of our four parks in Lancashire that offer touring caravans pitches are also welcome to bring their dogs. Choose from Silverdale, Marsh House, Bay View, Hollins Farm or Ribble Valley for a touring caravan holiday with your dog.
Whether you own your own holiday home at one of our dog-friendly caravan parks or fancy an adventure in your tourer caravan, your well-behaved dog is also more than welcome to stay with you as well!
Exercise Areas and Walking Routes
Holgates make keeping your energetic explorer entertained easy. Stay at one of our holiday parks and choose dog walking areas enveloped in peaceful woods or sprawling green spaces overlooking the bay. Our Holgates holiday parks in Silverdale, Cumbria and the Ribble Valley also connect numerous trails perfect for hours of adventure with your dog
Pick up Holgates’ walking maps from reception highlighting dog-friendly walks and routes. Local highlights include the coastal path between Arnside and Silverdale with its glistening estuary views.
Beach Frolics
Let your energetic explorer dash freely through the waves at Arnside Beach or roam the expansive intertidal areas of Half Moon Bay at low tide. The sandy spots make perfect play areas for your four-legged friend.
Woodland Wonders
Meander along Silverdale’s ancient forest paths and explore Jack Scout’s secluded trails to discover hidden pebbled beaches and rock pools. See where the hidden footpaths take you and your outdoor adventure companion.
Dog-Friendly Pub Stops
All those country hikes and seaside strolls are thirsty work! Luckily, you can find dog-friendly pubs all across Lancashire and Cumbria. Within the Arnside and Silverdale National Landscape, choose from gastropubs like Ye Olde Fighting Cocks and watch your snoozing companion under the table while you dine.
Further afield, Ribble Valley tempts with alehouses and eateries tucked amidst quaint villages perfect for lazy lunches.
The Bark Inn
At our Bay View holiday park, dog owners can enjoy The Bark Inn. This dog-friendly area of the bar and restaurant is separate from the main dining room and has direct outdoor patio access, making it the ideal spot for a meal or drink with your furry friend. Afterwards, take your dog for a walk along the shores of Morecambe Bay.
Our Guide to Petiquette
We love welcoming four-legged guests across all Holgates holiday parks. However, we kindly request all pet owners follow our petiquette guide during their stay:
- Keep dogs on the lead at all times when not in designated exercise areas
- Pick up and bin any dog foul immediately
- Dogs are not permitted inside buildings including reception and eateries
Responsible pet owners allow everyone to enjoy Holgates’ peaceful holiday parks. We simply ask you to clean up after your dog while on holiday and keep them under control. In return, we promise to make your stay with your perfect companion truly special.
