What is a Ceilidh?
A ceilidh (pronounced kay-lee) is a traditional Gaelic social gathering that involves music and dancing. It originated in Ireland and Scotland and is still popular today in both countries, as well as in other parts of the world where Celtic culture is celebrated.
At a ceilidh, people come together to socialize and participate in traditional dances like the jig, reel, and waltz. The music is usually played by live musicians using traditional instruments like the fiddle, accordion, and bodhran.
Our chosen charities
Pancreatic Cancer UK is a charity very close to our hearts, being our principal charity since 2015 we are honoured to have raised £18,466 so far and look forward to increasing the grand total during our fundraiser weekend.

Their services cover a population area of 250,000 people in North Lancashire, South Lakes and parts of North Yorkshire. They have been caring for our community every minute of every day since 1986. We are very proud to be raising funds for this local charity, be sure to say hello to one of their representatives over the weekend!
