We’re delighted to announce a record-breaking donation of £10,000 will be evenly split between Pancreatic Cancer UK and St John’s Hospice. This generous contribution comes as a result of our 2023 Charity Ceilidh Weekend, which took place between 23rd and 25th June at Silverdale Holiday Park following a 4-year hiatus.
Across the weekend’s events, we raised an impressive total of £7,632.34, the largest amount raised at one of our Ceilidh events which have been taking place since 2012! This remarkable achievement was made possible thanks to the incredible support of our loyal customers, dedicated holiday home owners, and generous suppliers. Their enthusiasm and willingness to contribute to these worthy causes is truly inspiring.
In addition to the funds raised by our valued community, Michael Holgate, our Managing Director, made a personal donation of £2,367.66 raising the overall total to £10,000! Long standing causes that have been supported by the family, this year’s event raises our overall fundraiser totals to £21,332 for Pancreatic Cancer UK and £7,300 for St John’s Hospice. Find out more on our charity page.
Pancreatic Cancer UK is a cause very close to the Holgate family and has been their principal charity since 2015. St John’s Hospice were also selected as a recipient due to the incredible work they do for the local community, providing palliative care and ongoing support to families.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who played a part in making the Charity Ceilidh Weekend a resounding success!
Special Thanks
A very special ‘thank you’ to everyone who joined us over the weekend, our dedicated teams that made the event run smoothly, our incredible generous suppliers who donated some incredible raffle and auction prizes and the team at Suzi Wong for providing bunting, table cloths, t-shirts and more for the event!
