Lancashire: The Perfect Destination for Touring Caravan Holidays

With a diverse landscape encompassing coast, countryside and forest, Lancashire offers something for every touring caravan holiday. Here are just some of the reasons it makes an ideal destination:

  • Breathtaking scenery and peaceful surroundings. From the unspoilt natural beauty of the Forest of Bowland to miles of stunning coastline, Lancashire’s landscapes inspire relaxation and restoration. The county’s two National Landscapes – Arnside and Silverdale and the Forest of Bowland – are particular highlights.
  • A rich history and cultural heritage. Quaint villages, historic castles, stately homes and vivid Victorian seaside resorts all tell Lancashire’s story. Discover tales of witches and legends, maritime exploits, industrial innovation and more.
  • Outdoor adventures. Lancashire’s varied terrain makes for fantastic days out. Go hiking, biking, horse riding, boating and bird watching. Try your hand at water sports along the coast or head to the hills for thrilling climbs and valley views.
  • Great transport links. With good motorway access and mainline rail connections, it’s easy to explore beyond Lancashire too. The Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and Manchester are all within easy reach for day trips and longer stays.

From summer sun to crisp winter days, Lancashire offers stunning scenery in every season. Cosy country pubs, traditional seaside towns and local seasonal events give each month a special charm.
