Silverdale

Silverdale Holiday Park is set in 100 acres of scenic park and woodland, located in peaceful seclusion between two delightfully contrasting coastal villages: tranquil Silverdale to the south, and bustling Arnside on the Lancashire-Cumbria border.

Holgates Silverdale is Located on Cove Road just on the outskirts of Silverdale village, which is about 20 minutes drive from junction 35 of the M6. 

Holgates offers touring, camping pitches, also luxury holiday homes and camping pods for hire and privately owned holiday homes to buy and is open 12 months of the year. 

The barriers to access and exit the site are run by number plate auto recognition so you will have to register your car at reception upon arrival. The site has tarmac roads with clearly marked speed bumps. Please drive with care and consideration, observing the 10mph speed limit. Bikes are welcome on site but when unattended must be left in the cycles racks provided located around the main complex. 

Touring and Camping 

  • The touring pitches are gravel hard standing with 16 amp electric hook­up, drinking water, TV connection and grey waste. The roads around the touring park are also tarmac; all of the pitches have parking alongside the caravans. Hard ground pegs are required for awnings and pup tents.
  • Checking in time is from 1 pm onwards
  • We have a limited area for tents and can only accept maximum six man tents due to the ground being undulated. Availability for camping is limited due to only having a small camping area, so bookings need to be made well in advance to avoid disappointment.
  • All the pitches have electric hook-up and TV connections. Hard ground pegs are required. The camping area is located 8 minutes walk away from the main complex.
  • There are two blocks of separate toilet and shower facilities for ladies and gents in the touring and camping area. There is also a disabled bathroom containing shower, toilet and basin. These are checked regularly and kept to a high standard of cleanliness.

Holiday Homes and Camping Pods for Hire

  • We have 13 luxury holiday homes available for hire, which are fully equipped. If your children do need any special requirements such as a bed rail, high chair or a travel cot please let us know when making your booking
  • We have three insulated timber camping pods which sleep two adults and up to three children with designated parking bays. The pods are equipped with a heater and electric point.
  • On arrival you will need to check in at the reception were you can register your vehicle for the barrier and collect you key to your holiday home.
  • To ensure your accommodation is ready please do not arrive before 4.00pm.
  • We allow 1 dog in our pet vans at an extra charge of £35.00, there is strictly no pets aloud in any other caravans or camping pods.
  • All our holiday homes and camping pods are strictly non smoking.

Booking Conditions

  • We strongly recommend advance bookings during all school holiday periods where minimum stay periods apply. Telephone bookings are accepted using most debit/ credit cards.
  • For bookings valued under £100 we require full payment at the time of booking. For bookings over £100 we require a £100 deposit with balance due 6 weeks prior to arrival.

Park Facilities 
The complex is located at the front of the park and is accessible from 2 sides of the building, both of which are wheelchair friendly.
 
The launderette is located to the side of the complex and houses 5 washing machines which take £1.50 each, 2 tumble dryers which accept 20p or £1 coins. There is also a sink for hand washing clothes, an iron and ironing board. 

Reception is open daily from 9am to 8pm, during high season it is open until 9pm. If assistance is required outside of these hours please refer to the notice on receptions door informing guests how to contact the 24hr emergency Duty Warden . 

The park has partial coverage to Orange mobile telephone network. We have a payphone adjacent to reception on the northern corner of the building wall. 

Camping and Calor gas are available from reception. 

The parks facilities are listed on the arrival leaflet, issued at check in. The shop provides a range of basic provisions including fresh baked breads, fresh milk, meats, papers, toiletries, camping supplies, wine, beer, sweets and gifts. 

The leisure facilities include a 17m heated swimming pool, spa, steam room and sauna which are supervised at all times by lifeguards. Children may only enter the water unaccompanied providing they can swim to a standard acceptable to the lifeguard on duty. 

The gym houses Technogym cardio and resistance equipment to suit every type of workout, you can collect your day pass from reception at an extra cost of £5.00 per day or £25.00 for a week pass per person. 

The restaurant & cafe serves food between 9am and 9.15pm, the menu focuses on quality local produce, ranging from traditional breakfasts to hearty evening dinners with great healthy children's menus. 
The bar serves drinks between 12pm and 11pm, and offers a wide range of draught beers, and an extensive wine list. Holgates bar also covers premier sports events on its 50" plasma television. 

Other Information 

Local taxi company can be called using the free phone in reception. There is a frequent local bus service around Silverdale. The pick up point is situated in the far corner of the front car park. This service runs from 06.41 am to 19.25pm from Holgates. The nearest train station is in Silverdale which is approximately 2 miles away from Holgates and linked directly by the bus.

Bay View

Bay View is situated in a beautiful rural setting on the picturesque Lancashire coastline. Once a working farm, the rolling green fields surrounding the site offer stunning views over Morecambe bay, whilst providing a peaceful and all year round tranquil retreat.

The park is situated right on the salt marshes where you can access the coastal path from the park and walk all the way to Morecambe if you wish. The canal is just across from the entrance to the park, and you can access the tow path from a lay-by just down from the park entrance towards Carnforth Bay view is located just off the A6 at Bolton-Le-Sands, which is minutes from junction 35 of the M6, resulting in easy access to the Lake District, North Yorkshire and the Forest of Bowland.

Bay View offers camping pitches, seasonal and nightly touring, 4 luxury holiday homes and 2 camping pods available for hire, and privately owned holiday homes to buy. Bay View is open 12 months of the year. The barrier to access and exit the site is run by key fobs and 4 digit pins, upon arrival you will be allocated a unique 4 digit PIN to use during your stay. The site has tarmac roads with clearly marked speed bumps. Please drive with care and consideration, observing the 10mph speed limit. Bikes are welcome on site but when unattended must be left in the cycles racks provided.


Touring and Camping

• The touring pitches are all gravel hard standing with 16amp electrichook up, but vary in the facilities they offer, some boast full services where others have just electric. Parking available adjacent to the pitch.

• Checking in time is from 1pm onwards

• We have two fields for tents; one with 16amp electricity supply to all pitches, which are all flat and accessible by tarmac roads, the other has no services, and the area is fairly flat. Parking is available adjacent to all the pitches.


Holiday Homes & Camping Pods for Hire

• Bay View has 4 luxury holiday homes available for hire, which are fully equipped and sleep up to 6 guests. If your children do need any special requirements such as a bed rail, high chair or a travel cot please let us know when making your booking.

• We have two insulated timber camping pods, one sleeps up to 2 adults and 2 children, and one sleeps up to 2 adults and 3 children. The pods are equipped with a heater and an electric point. Parking is available next to each camping pod.

• Upon arrival you will need to check in at the reception building, where you can collect your keys to the holiday home or pod, and your PIN for the barrier.

• To ensure your accommodation is ready please do not arrive before 4.00pm

• We allow 1 dog in our pet vans at an extra charge of £35.00, there is strictly no pets allowed in any other holiday homes or camping pods.

• All our holiday homes and camping pods are strictly non smoking.

Facilities

The site has 4 sets of toilet blocks with separate toilet and shower facilities for ladies and gents all providing hot water, and disabled facilities. These are checked regularly and kept to a high standard of cleanliness. Washing up facilities for pots are also provided in this area.

At reception you can buy camping and calor gas bottles, and there is a range of tourist information leaflets on local tourist attractions. One of the original farm buildings has been sympathetically converted into a beautiful restaurant, bar and shop. The design has been carefully planned using local materials and skills to preserve the character of the existing park.

The buildings feature natural stone walls and flooring, full height oak-beamed ceiling and wood burning stove. The menu focuses on quality local produce, ranging from traditional breakfasts to hearty evening dinners with great healthy children's menus.

The bar serves drinks between 12pm and 11pm, and offers a wide range of draught beers, and an extensive wine list. Bay View bar also covers premier sports events on its 50’’ plasma television.

A small shop provides the basics for your stay like milk, eggs, bread, tea and coffee, and camping essentials, as well as providing sweets and chocolates, soft drinks and ice creams and if you require a newspaper this be order here also.

The site has a games room with table tennis, air hockey and a selection of other arcade games machines. There is a pool table in the bar area. The site also has an outdoor play area for the children, and a field where children can play ball games.

The launderette is located opposite the bar and restaurant; there is washing machines which take £2 each per wash and tumble dryers which takes 50p’s. There is also an iron and ironing board. Washing up facilities for pots are also provided in this area. There is a payphone located in the restaurant building at the end of the bar.

Other Information

The site has a duty warden available at all times, so if you are in need of any assistance just call the park number, or use the emergency phone found at outside the entrance to the bar & restaurant.

Buses run regularly to Lancaster and Kendal. Bus stops can be found on the A6 in Bolton-Le-Sands. Taxi numbers can be found in reception, and the time table for the canal bus can be found there too. The nearest train station is in Carnforth about 2 miles away.

Hollins Farm

Hollins Farm lies in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty between two of North Lancashire’s most picturesque coastal villages, Silverdale and Arnside nestled at the foot of Arnside Knot.

Hollins Farm is Located at Far Arnside five minutes drive from Holgates Silverdale flagship park, which is about 25 minutes drive the M6, junction 35  following signs for Silverdale.

Hollins Farms offers camping pitches, seasonal and nightly touring pitches.

The Hollins Farm season runs from the 14th March to the 31st October

It is just a 5 minute walk across a field to reach our flagship Silverdale Park, where you are welcome to use our leisure facilities, bar and restaurant.  A 20 minute walk takes you to the nearest pub, or you can carry on for 10 more minutes to reach Silverdale village where there are another pub, village shops and a restaurant.  

Silverdale also has the RSPB’s Leighton Moss, home to some of the UK’s rarest birds, including the elusive Bittern.

Touring and Camping

Arrival

  • Check in on site is from 1pm onwards
  • Upon arrival check in at reception where you will be given  a map of the farm and all the information required including your departure.

Pitches

  • The touring pitches are gravel hard standing with 16 amp electric hook-up, drinking water, TV connection and grey waste. The roads around the touring park are mostly gravel; all of the pitches have parking alongside the caravans.
  • In summer parking is available next to the tent pitch. Only after heavy rainfall do we ask guests not to park on the grassed area.
  • All the pitches have electric hook-up and TV connections. Hard ground pegs are required.

Facilities

  • There is a brand new toilet block with under floor heating and separate toilet and shower facilities for ladies and gents in A field. There is also a disabled bathroom containing shower, toilet and basin. These are checked regularly and kept to a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Hollins Farm has a games room with pool and football tables. The site also has an outdoor play area for children.
  • The launderette is located in the toilets block; there are 2 washing machines which take £2 each per wash and a tumble dryer which takes 50p’s. There is also an iron and ironing board. Washing up facilities for pots are also provided in this area.

Silver Ridge

Silver Ridge is set in an elevated and secluded position amongst mature woodland in an area of outstanding natural beauty. An ideal base for exploring the Lake District fells or into the Yorkshire Dales, the unique reaches of Morecambe Bay and the quaint towns and villages of this tranquil and picturesque corner of the North West.

Silver Ridge is aptly named after the impressive limestone outcrops of the surrounding countryside and form a unique feature of the site. Rising up the ridge, the lodges are afforded wonderful views of the open countryside to the south with a vista that stretches out towards the Lancashire countryside and the coast at Morecambe Bay beyond.
