Frequently Asked Questions

While all of our parks are open 12 months a year for holiday and recreational use, they are not residential. This means you can enjoy unlimited getaways throughout the seasons, but you must maintain a permanent residential address elsewhere.

Beyond the initial purchase, the main costs to budget for include the annual pitch fees (which cover park maintenance and security), insurance, gas bottles, and metered electricity. Pitch fees vary depending on the park and specific plot.

At Holgates, we pride ourselves on transparency; our team provides a full breakdown of costs upfront so you can have total peace of mind.

We are a very dog-friendly group! While dogs aren’t permitted inside the main leisure building at Silverdale, we have a fantastic outdoor terrace specifically for owners with dogs. If you are staying or visiting Bay View, we have a dedicated indoor area in the bar so you and your dog can stay dry and comfortable even if it rains.

With our parks situated in prime locations near the Lake District and Morecambe Bay, you’ll have access to some of the best coastal and countryside walks in the UK right on your doorstep.

Yes, one of the greatest benefits of ownership at Holgates is sharing your retreat with loved ones. While we do not allow commercial sub-letting on our parks to ensure a private community feel, your friends and family are more than welcome to use your holiday home.

Ownership at Holgates gives you more than just a home-from-home; it gives you a new lifestyle. Owners at Silverdale, The Cove and Far Arnside have complimentary access to our 5-star facilities, including our indoor swimming pools, steam room, and sauna.

Owners at our other parks can enjoy a more tranquil, retreat-style atmosphere while being part of the wider Holgates community.
