Following the government announcement (05/04/21) we can confirm our holiday parks and cottages will re-open on the 12th April 2021.

Holiday Home & Lodge Owners
Holiday home & lodge owners will be able to return to their park on this date.

Holiday Bookings
Holiday bookings will also be able to take place from 12th April 2021, if staying in a self-contained accommodation.

Holiday bookings should only consist of guests from the same household, as per government guidelines.

If you wish to make a new booking, please do so via our website here. Our phone lines are incredibly busy and this is a quick way of checking what we have available and securing your holiday dates.

We are seeing a large volume of new holiday bookings at this time, so be sure to secure your dates as soon as possible and be courteous of our team who are working as hard as ever.

What is self-contained accommodation?
Our self-contained accommodation includes: Holiday Homes, Holiday Lodges, Luxury Pods, Family Fun PodHoliday Cottages.

Camping & Touring
We are able to take touring bookings from 12th April *as long as guests are happy to use their on-board shower facilities* as our facility blocks will only open for use of the lavatories.

Camping and Standard Pod bookings can take place from 17th May 2021.

All holiday bookings are protected under our Holgates Booking Promise.

Track & Trace

From 12th April, everyone over the age of 16 is required to provide details for track and trace before entering our parks. The easiest way to do this is via the NHS Covid-19 app using a QR code.

Alternatively, prior to entering the park you will need to visit your reception area and provide these details manually. Please note: Track & Trace details will be requested for your whole party.

Where do I find the QR code?
Our QR codes are available to view and download via the list below, or you can collect a copy from the park when you arrive.

Holiday Home Owners

We are planning to re-open our holiday parks on the 12th April 2021, all of our owners will be welcomed back to the parks to use their holiday homes and lodges on this date – unless otherwise determined by the government.

Whilst at your holiday home, please follow all current guidance from the government including restrictions on mixing households.

Whilst accessing facilities, please also follow our safety measures listed in the ‘facilities’ section on this page.

Our Aftersales department are always on hand to help with any queries you may have. 

If you have an urgent job, such as your boiler not working, our team will be happy to help. To do so, we will ask you to wear a face covering or vacate your holiday home whilst work takes place.

Any non-urgent jobs will be scheduled to complete whilst you are not at your holiday home, arranged in advance. Wherever possible, please supply photos to support your query.

Holiday Guests

Our Holgates Booking Promise aims to give you the peace of mind whilst booking your holiday with us, giving you additional flexibility and cancellation options as we all adapt to changes during the Covid-19 pandemic. Book your next holiday with confidence knowing our Holgates Booking Promise is in place.

If you are unable to make your booking in 2021, due to Covid-19*, we can transfer your holiday^ to an alternative date in 2021/2022. This flexibility will give you the best possible chance at finding a new date for your holiday.

Can’t make your holiday but don’t want to commit to alternative dates? We also have the option to keep monies paid in credit, to use at a later date.

We have adopted the below safety and cleaning measures in our accommodation:

  Removing risk – additional soft furnishings such as cushions, blankets and rugs have been removed from our accommodation. This is to reduce surfaces where bacteria can reside.

  Reducing contact – To keep our guests and housekeeping team safe, we kindly ask that you strip bedding prior to checking out of your accommodation. Further instruction will be provided when you arrive at your accommodation.

  Ready to enjoy – All of our accommodation is fully cleaned and sterilised before you arrive, so you can get straight to enjoying your holiday.

Due to the additional cleaning measures we are taking, you will only be able to arrive on or after your check-in time. There may be delays whilst our housekeeping team finish sterilising accommodation. Please see your confirmation email from us for details on your check-in time.

When checking in for your holiday, our reception team will greet you as normal. If you have any questions regarding our safety measures, they will be more than happy to help.

The same will apply when checking out, on your day of departure please ensure you check-out with our team on time.

Feeling Unwell

If you are displaying symptoms of Covid-19 prior to your visit, please follow government advice and book a test for Covid-19.

Please do not arrive to our parks or locations if you are experiencing symptoms or have tested positive for Covid-19.

Our team will be happy to help if you need to cancel  a holiday booked with us, protected under our ‘Holgates Booking Promise’.

If you are displaying symptoms of Covid-19 during your visit, please notify a member of the team by telephone immediately.

If you feel well enough, please follow government advice and return home immediately.

Our Facilities

We are currently offering limited service from our reception desks, please try and avoid visiting our reception desks in person other than for the below reasons:

  Checking in.

  Checking out.

  To speak to a member of the team in an emergency.


If you do visit our reception desks, please be mindful of the below safety measures:

  Hand sanitisers have been placed at all access points into our park buildings, please use these before entering.

  Social distancing and queue systems may be in place during your visit to our reception desks.

We’re hoping to offer food and drink (bars, restaurants, ice cream parlour) across our group of holiday parks under the following restrictions:

  Takeaway and outdoor table service only.

  Safety screens are now in place across all food and drink service areas. Outdoor table orders will be delivered directly to your table.

  Social distancing and queue systems may be in place during your visit to our food and drink facilities, this may cause delays in our service!

Swimming Pool

Our Swimming Pool will re-open from 1pm on 13th April, initially to:

  • Owners at Silverdale, Far Arnside & The Cove
  • Holiday guests at Cottages, Silverdale & Hollins Farm

  Our sauna, steam room & spa pool are closed

Gym

Our Gym will re-open from 1pm on 13th April, initially to:

  • Owners at Silverdale, Far Arnside & The Cove
  • Holiday guests at Silverdale & Hollins Farm

  Our sauna, steam room & spa pool are closed

Please Note
Our swimming pool will be open from 10am – 7pm every day (last entry 6.30pm). Visitors to the pool should arrive swim-ready, entering via our entrance by the gymso we can register you with Track & Trace. Shower facilities will only be available within your self-contained accommodation.

General Public Swimming
Our swimming Pool is currently closed for general public swimming, we are constantly reviewing access to our swimming pool and endeavour to welcome everyone back to use the pool as soon as we can.

Swimming Pool Admissions Policy
Guests are limited to a 40-minute honesty swim, during busy periods, to ensure everyone has fair access to the facilities.

  • All users of the leisure club must be swim ready on entry to the leisure facility.
  • All pool users must gain entry to the pool facilities to the rear of the building once details are provided for track and trace, you will be allocated a cubicle to change in, clothes MUST be put in a locker (50p required). All users of the swimming pool are to use the showers on poolside prior to entering the pool.
  • All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible person of 16 years or above at all times whilst using the leisure facility. The responsible person must go into the water with the child/children they are accompanying remain with them at all times. No play equipment, including balls, inflatables, woggles, noodles etc. are permitted in the pool. The pool has implemented a no diving, no jumping policy at this time.
  • Buoyancy aids accepted under this policy are those that fully support the child’s weight in the water & remain secure in and out of the water. E.G. Arm bands, float suits and inflatable baby seats. Buoyancy aids that are hand held are NOT considered appropriate.

Adult to Child Ratios in the Swimming Pool

1 Adult to 2 Children – Children under the age of 16 years must be accompanied into the pool at all times by a responsible adult (Over 16 years)

1 Adult to 1 Child – Children under the age of 4 years must be accompanied into the pool by a responsible adult.

1 Adult to 2 Children – However in the event any child under 4 is wearing a suitable buoyancy aid.

As our shops provide essential goods, they are open alongside our group of holiday parks under the following restrictions:

  Limited number of people in our shops at any one time.

  One-way systems may be in place.

  Safety screens are in place across all service areas.

  Hand sanitisers have been placed at all access points into our park buildings, please use these before entering.

  Social distancing and queue systems may be in place during your visit to our shops, this may cause delays in our service!

Our arcades, games rooms, bowling alley and indoor soft play areas will not be re-opening right away from 12th April. Keep updated with this page for more details in the near future!

  Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult when in our

Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult (over 18) at all times to ensure that our safety measures and one-way systems are followed.

Outdoor Play Areas
Our outdoor play areas will re-open alongside our group of holiday parks. These facilities will be un-manned and we kindly ask that guests using the play areas are mindful of:

  • Social distancing from others whilst using the play areas.
  • Bringing along your own sanitiser, as we don’t have stations on the outdoor play areas.

It is now compulsory to wear masks in all indoor public areas of our parks, including our bar & restaurant (unless eating or drinking), on-site shops, launderettes, arcade/games rooms, bowling alley and ice cream parlour, as a result we will be asking all visitors using facilities to wear a face covering.

If you are exempt from wearing a face covering, please support our team as they may try and enforce our safety measures without knowledge of this.

We have introduced the following measures to ensure the safety of our owners & guests:

  We have strict hygiene routines across our parks in addition to the already thorough cleans we carry out daily

  Social distancing measures have been put in place around our parks. This will include all facilities operating at a lower capacity with floor markings in areas where there is likely to be a queue such as our park receptions and shops

  Safety screens are now in place in all areas necessary, including our main reception and bar as we look ahead to opening more and more facilities

  Hand sanitisers have been placed around our parks for customers to use

  You will also find information throughout our parks and buildings explaining the safety precautions all visitors to the parks must work towards

  Abide by government restrictions at a local, regional & national level

  Enjoy your accommodation and their outside areas

  Walk freely throughout our parks, observing social distance at all times

  Bring soap, hand sanitiser, gloves, toilet roll and disinfectant (just to be on the safe side & especially if it will make you feel more comfortable)

  Remember we are here! Our team are always happy to help if you have any queries or concerns

  If offered at the park you are staying at, maintain social distance whilst collecting takeaway food from our restaurants

  Meet or gather with friends in a social group of over 6 people

  Invite or entertain visitors

  Allow children to roam unsupervised around our park buildings, so that they do not break social distancing rules (even if it is by accident!)

Please take your own precautions when playing and spending time outdoors on our parks, supervising children where you feel necessary.
