Park Warden (Individual Role)

Hours: Full Time – Permanent, including evening and weekends with an on-call rota.

Main Responsibilities

Job Overview:

Maintenance of the Holiday Park. Maintaining exceptionally high standards of the park and facilities.

Main Tasks of Job Include:

General park grounds maintenance – Strimming and mowing grass, hedge cutting, gas bottle delivery’s, litter picking, clearing leaves, washing windows as well as reactive maintenance such as water tap replacement and basic plumbing. We do have a maintenance team on site who can fix problems on the park, but you need to be able to solve situations that arise out of hours.

Cleaning – Holgates prides its self on the exceptional levels of cleanliness., cleaning will form part of your job and your standards must exceed that of our guests.

Daily/weekly and monthly checks  – From health and safety to stock levels and play area inspections, there are many routine tasks that are imperative to keeping guest safe and happy.

Park patrols – Wardens must be visible and available to help all our guests. As part of your daily duties, wardens patrol the park to check on guests, make sure park rules are being followed and the site is in a presentable and safe state.

Health and safety – Keeping guests and staff safe though safe working practices, routine and preventative maintenance

Site security – Although an extremely rare occurrence, you will act as first point of contact for out of hours emergencies. Liaising with the emergency services to efficiently direct them to incidents on the park.

Key Requirements


Experience in a customer service-based role is essential.

Practical – proficient at DIY or a trade essential

Proactive – Must be able to think on your feet and take proactive steps to resolve problems in a timely, safe and cost-effective manor

Punctual and presentable – our guests rely on our wardens and are often the first people in the company they see, we require that you arrive at work on time looking presentable every day with the correct uniform and friendly face

Full UK driving license – Ideally with trailer experience.


No Formal qualifications required but carpentry/joinery/trade skills or proficient at DIY desirable
