Main Purpose of Job: We are looking for an individual OR couple to join the Holgates team. You will impress guests by keeping a 5-star holiday park in immaculate condition and making them want to come back for more.

Hours: Full on! It’s a go, go, go job, including evenings, weekends, early and late shifts with on calls at night. This is a full-time permanent role.

Ranger definition – A person responsible for the supervision of a particular place or activity.

A highly active and flexible job, no two days are ever the same. The Ranger’s role is to welcome guests to a park they are proud to say they have maintained to the highest possible standard, leaving a lasting, positive memory.


Main Tasks of Job Include:

5-stars is not an award, it’s a declaration that good is not good enough and only excellence will do.

Setting and maintaining an exceptionally high standard in all areas of the park is the bread and butter of this job. Cleaning and tidying forms a large part of the role, from cleaning the facilities blocks, sweeping roads of gravel and debris, to tidying the grounds of leaves and grass to keeping the park looking exceptional.

Welcoming guests, explaining the rules and helping them to understand how to pitch up their accommodation. You are the first point of contact for guests and first impressions really do count. With your continued help throughout guests stays, they will leave with a great impression, wanting more!

Our Holiday Home owners chose to buy with us because we are good at what we do. They expect that 5 star service and our Rangers deliver! From the initial siting of holiday homes, assisting with skirting and decking and cleaning before hand over, on to continued assistance with aftersales care, you will help the relevant teams where necessary to ensure owners have the smoothest ownership experience .

The role of a park ranger is highly varied. Beside the daily routine, there will be a multitude of other jobs. You are expected to find these jobs and undertake them to an excellent standard, on your own initiative. This could be repairs to anything on the park, decorating, delivering gas bottles, reseeding grass pitches, the jobs will keep you busy, with never a dull moment.

Looking after and cleaning our holiday rental Holiday Homes is another of the strings to our Rangers bows. Your high standards will shine through to guests when they walk in to one of  the well-appointed Holiday Homes. Changing beds, cleaning the kitchens, vacuuming the floors, the accommodation will look like new to each and every guest after every change over.

Key Requirements


Customer service at the highest level. Guests should be saying WOW from the moment they arrive to the moment they leave, and beyond. You must leave a great lasting impression, prompting that return booking.

Managing your own time, using your initiative to its full potential and being proactive is vital to make this role work.

More flexible than a yoga instructor! You must to be prepared to drop everything, go and fix a leek, then back to check guests in, customer may have problems with their heating that you can help with before returning to your original job. Helping other parks, joining another department to cover sickness or running an errand for someone, the skills and flexibility of a Park Ranger know no bounds!

You will have an awesome eye for detail, spotting things guests would never notice, but that will contribute to the high standards of the park.

This role requires energy in abundance, it is physically demanding and you’re on your feet all day. Who needs a gym membership? (If you have any energy left, you do actually get free gym membership, with use of our 2 pools, how’s that for a perk?)

A full clean driving licence is a pre-requisite and towing experience is preferable.

It goes without saying that you should be presentable, punctual and willing to learn.

No formal qualifications required, but a trade and/or previous experience in facilities management, cleaning or grounds keeping would be advantageous.
