Holiday Park Rangers (Shared Accommodation for 2 positions)

Main Purpose of Job:

This Role is for 2 people who will share accommodation. Suited to a couple or friends. 1 full time, 1 casual 0 hours. Great stone built 2 bed room accommodation provided.

Main Purpose of Job: Impress guests and owners by keeping a 5-star holiday park in immaculate condition and making them want to come back for more.

Hours: 1 Full-Time position, a busy role, 5 days a week, including early evenings, weekends, early and late shifts with on calls at night 3 to 4 nights a week.

The other role, a casual zero hours position,  cleaning hire accommodation and new holidays homes when they are sited on their plot. This role is suited to a couple or friends who are happy to share accommodation

Location: Silver Ridge Holiday Parka tranquil wooded location just outside Hale, near the town of Milnthorpe, South Cumbria.

Main Responsibilities

Job Overview:

Ranger definition – A person responsible for the supervision of a particular place or activity and for enforcing the regulations associated with it.

This is a highly active job and no 2 days are the same. The Ranger’s role is to welcome guests and owners to a park they are proud to say they have maintained to the highest possible standard, leaving a lasting positive memory.

Main Tasks of the Job:

To maintain a 5-star park, you must aim to be 6 stars!

Setting and maintaining an exceptionally high standard in all areas of the park is the bread and butter of this job. Welcoming guests and potential new owners to the park, grounds work and cleaning and tidying forms a large part of the role from grass cutting, sweeping roads of gravel and debris, cutting hedges, to tidying the grounds to keep the park looking exceptional.

5-stars is not an award, it’s a declaration that good is not good enough and only excellence will do.

Silver Ridge is a small, friendly park, with mostly privately owned Static Holiday Homes and 2 hire Static Holiday Homes.

The role of a park ranger is highly varied. Beside the daily routine, there will be a multitude of other jobs. You are expected to find these jobs and undertake them to an excellent standard, on your own initiative. This could be repairs to anything on the park, decorating, basic park infrastructure repairs, the jobs will keep you busy, with never a dull moment.

There will also be an element of basic sales, helping prospective buyers understand how ownership with Holgates works and showing sales vans, all backed up by the main sales team (Training provided).

The other role is a 0 hours position. It is a cleaning/housekeeping role. This role will be to clean the hire accommodation to an exceptionally high standard when it’s vacated by guests. You will also assist in cleaning the new and used static holiday homes for new owners.

Customer service at the next level. Guests should be saying WOW from the moment they arrive to the moment the leave, and beyond. Our owners must feel that their holiday home is a special place to visit. You’re at the fore of that experience for all owners and guests. Being a people person is a must as you are the face of the park. Helping guests with enquiry’s, assisting owners with after sales enquires, checking guest in, the role revolves around people.

Managing your own time, using your initiative to its full potential and being proactive is vital to make this role work.

Super flexibility is key. You need to be prepared to drop everything, go and fix a leek, then check guests in, customer may have problems with their electrics you will need to help with before returning to your original job.

You will have a great eye for detail, spotting things guests would never notice, but that contribute the high standards of the park.

This role requires energy in abundance, its physically demanding and you’re on your feet all day. Who needs a gym membership? If you have any energy left, you do actually get free gym membership, with use of our 2 pools, how’s that for a perk?

It goes without saying that you should be presentable, punctual and willing to learn.

This is not a retirement or holiday job; you will be on your feet all day and it is a physically demanding role.

Qualifications:

No formal qualifications required, but a trade and/or previous experience in facilities management, cleaning or grounds keeping would be advantageous.
