Each year the quaint villages of Silverdale and Arnside organise an Arts and Crafts trail exhibiting some of the region’s most talented artists. A major event occuring in these coastal villages each year attracting visitors locally and from afar, making it the perfect destination for art lovers. The trail has open studios, group exhibitions with a great community involvement and workshops that provides something for everyone.
Holgates are proud to announce that this year we will be a stop on the trail with resident artist, Melissa Elizabeth. A local girl who has grown up in Arnside and Silverdale’s AONB, Melissa’s artwork takes inspiration for the wildlife, beautiful scenery and pets that surround her. Her artwork specialises in highly detailed and realistic pencil drawings of pets and wildlife. her aim when drawing is to capture a sense of your pet’s much loved personality.
This is Melissa’s first time exhibiting at the Trail and she is looking forward to meeting lots of friendly faces. We look forward to having Melissa with us and being part of the Art Trail for the first time.
Make sure you pop in to view Melissa’s work while on the tour and grab a bite to eat, coffee, lunch or ice cream at Holgates as you soak up the talent and beauty that surrounds this AONB.
